Brian ‘Bruno’ Long
                                     
                                    Brian played all his
                                    206 NTFL football games with St Marys and was club captain in 1988/89 to 1991/92. After making his debut in 1980/81 season
                                    Brian played in 10 grand finals for 8 premierships. 1983/84, 1984/85, 1985/86, 1986/87, 1987/88, 1989/90, 1990/91 and 1991/92.
                                     
                                    As an underage player
                                    Brian represented the NT at secondary level, 1977(Hobart), 1978 (Geelong) and was
                                    the first Teal Cup captain in 1979 (Hobart).
                                     
                                    Brian has represented
                                    the NTFL on 7 occasions, Glenelg 1985, Essendon 1986, Tasmania and the VFA in
                                    the 1988 Bicentennial Carnival, Essendon 1989, North Melbourne 1989 and Geelong
                                    1992.
                                     
                                    He won St Marys best
                                    and fairest in season 1985/86 and has been runner up three times.
                                     
                                    Brian is the second son
                                    of St Marys Legend Jack Long and one of seven brothers who have played in premierships for St Marys. His former team-mates
                                    and opposition alike respect him and Kevin Sheedy says he was a ready made VFL footballer when he first saw him play.
                                     
                                    He is a life
                                    member of St Marys and the NTFL.
